ABOUT US

Welcome to Our Cluckin’ World!
Here, soap isn’t just a necessity—it’s a statement, a purpose, and a way of life. We’re not your average soap company. We’re a mission-driven movement redefining how business is done, one bar at a time.

It all began in the heart of the 2020 pandemic, when the world seemed to be unraveling at the seams. We saw division, pain, and chaos all around us. It felt impossible to sit on the sidelines while the bullies of the world tried to take center stage. Instead of watching from the wings, we decided to take action—to be the change we desperately wanted to see.

Yes, Dr. Jennifer crafted an extraordinary soap formula: eco-friendly, perfectly pH-balanced, and free from all the nasties. But what truly drives us runs far deeper. Soap is simply our vehicle—a tangible, everyday way to share love, acceptance, and a vision for a better future.

At My Cluck Hut, people come before profit, diversity is our greatest strength, and sustainability isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a promise. We’re not here to swim with the current of endless consumption. We’re here to stand against it, proving that you can run a business that cares for the planet and its people without compromising on quality or heart.

We know we’re not alone in this. There are countless like-minded eco-warriors out there—people who love the feeling of squeaky-clean skin, crave a fresh scent, and want to make choices that matter. Choosing eco-friendly options can sometimes feel like a whisper in the void. But together? Our collective whispers become a roar, an unstoppable wave of change that reshapes the tide.

That’s why we’re honored to have you as part of our growing family. By choosing My Cluck Hut, you’re not just buying soap; you’re joining a revolution. You’re stepping into a movement that’s rewriting the rules, creating a brighter future, and cleaning up the world in every sense of the word.

So, buckle up, brave soul. Get ready to smell amazing, feel incredible, and make a real impact. Together, we’ll keep building a world where every small choice adds up to something monumental.

Let’s change the world for the better—one bar of soap at a time.

Dr. Jennifer Berry

Chief Event Coordinator/Co-Founder/Co-Owner

I grew up right outside of Little Rock, Arkansas on a farm where I developed a love and passion for animals and the outdoors. Pursuing this love, I graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Zoology and a Masters in Teaching and subsequent PhD from Capella University in Education. My love for science continues through the making of soap, caring for our urban farm, and tending our small flock of chickens.

Dr. (by marriage) Trevor Silva

CEO/Co-Founder/Co-Owner

My life has taken me on many journeys. From touring the world as a professional drummer to working with my varying non-profits, I’ve always enjoyed new challenges and discovering new adventures. I have to be honest, owning a soap company with my wife was never on the cluckin’ radar, but here we are and I wouldn't rather be anywhere else! I love that we have built a company that is diverse, family oriented (human, feathered, and furry), and that has a passion for philanthropy, our community, and for environmentally friendly practices. If you are reading this, I want you to know that you are loved, accepted, and part of the Cluck Hut tribe from now on! Cluck Yeah!

Alex Crookshanks

CCO/Co-Owner

Alex is the father of two, believer that love is love is love, and is a connoisseur of great art, good wine, emotive music, and smelly-goods like our line of products at My Cluck Hut. As the Chief Creative Officer at MCH, Alex is committed to well-crafted branding, packaging, and visuals. He’s always had a heart for service and helping others since his early years helping his parents with creating care baskets for the elderly in their neighborhood, to the conservation groups in high school, and his service-based fraternity, APO, in college, to his own non-profit efforts helping to raise money and donations for local food pantries via themed Halloween parties. So Alex feels perfectly at home at MCH. We believe in supplying a quality product while also trying to make a difference with our resources. We don’t partner with nonprofits for bragging rights. We partner with them because at our core we believe in helping our neighbors when they aren’t able to help themselves.

Josiah has a big, engaging personality, is quick-witted and loves dad jokes. He shares our core values about people before profit, sustainability, and being a strong ally . These days you can find him in the coop, perfecting his soap-making skills, or out in the wild at markets , rocking the dad-bod and white tennis shoes, loving his life, joking around and talking to folks about the best clucking soaps, bath and body care products.

The thing you need to know about Mara is that she’s handcrafted, mostly out of aloe, essential oils, and cocoa butter. In high school this posed problems. The diving team thought she smelled delightful, but she filled the pool with bubbles and they politely asked her to leave. She joined a punk band, but she couldn’t hold on to the drumsticks for a whole song. Ask her about her field trip to the box factory some time. Adulthood has been challenging too. Her slick moves on the dance floor can sometimes leave fellow revelers with sprained ankles. And there are some people that aren’t nuts about lavender. But if there is one thing she’s learned over the years, it is that everyone can appreciate a well-made, beautifully scented, cleverly wrapped smile.
