ABOUT US
Welcome to our Cluckin' world—a place where soap is more than just a necessity. We are not your average soap company. We are a group of passionate individuals who started out with a bar of soap and a vision, determined to make a positive impact.
It all began amidst the chaos of the 2020 pandemic. Everywhere we turned, it seemed darkness was prevailing. We couldn't stand idly by, watching society seem to tear itself apart. So, we decided to be the change we wanted to see in the world, to heal societal wounds at their core wherever we could, rather than just band-aiding them.
Sure, Dr. Jennifer created an extraordinary soap formula, eco-friendly and perfectly PH balanced. But what truly drives us is something deeper. Soap is our vehicle for love and acceptance—a way to build a new reality where people matter more than profit, where diversity is our strength, and sustainability is non-negotiable.In a world obsessed with unfettered capitalism, we swim against the tide. We refuse to accept a status quo that overlooks the well-being of our planet and its inhabitants. And we know we're not alone. We sought out like-minded souls: those who relish the feeling of being squeaky clean and smelling incredible, and who long to be part of something greater than themselves.Choosing eco-friendly options can feel like a drop in the bucket, but together, our collective choices become an unstoppable wave of change. That's why we're honored to have a tribe of warriors, just like you, on this incredible journey, and we can't wait to welcome even more folks ready to transform the world.
So buckle up, because you've joined a revolution. Get ready to clean up, smell amazing, and make a real impact. Together, we're rewriting the rules and creating a brighter future. Step into our world and let's change the world, one bar of soap at a time.

Dr. Jennifer Berry (Co-founder/Co-owner)
I grew up right outside of Little Rock, Arkansas on a farm where I developed a love and passion for animals and the outdoors. Pursuing this love, I graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Zoology and a Masters in Teaching and subsequent PhD from Capella University in Education. My love for science continues through the making of soap, caring for our urban farm, and tending our small flock of chickens.
Dr. (by marriage) Trevor Silva (CEO/Co-Founder/Co-Owner)
My life has taken me on many journeys. From touring the world as a professional drummer to working with my varying non-profits, I’ve always enjoyed new challenges and discovering new adventures. I have to be honest, owning a soap company with my wife was never on the cluckin’ radar, but here we are and I wouldn't rather be anywhere else! I love that we have built a company that is diverse, family oriented (human, feathered, and furry), and that has a passion for philanthropy, our community, and for environmentally friendly practices. If you are reading this, I want you to know that you are loved, accepted, and part of the Cluck Hut tribe from now on! Cluck Yeah!

Alex Crookshanks (CCO/Co-Owner)
Alex is the father of two, believer that love is love is love, and is a connoisseur of great art, good wine, emotive music, and smelly-goods like our line of products at My Cluck Hut. As the Creative Director for MCH, Alex is committed to well-crafted branding, packaging, and visuals. He’s always had a heart for service and helping others since his early years helping his parents with creating care baskets for the elderly in their neighborhood, to the conservation groups in high school, and his service-based fraternity, APO, in college, to his own non-profit efforts helping to raise money and donations for local food pantries via themed Halloween parties. So Alex feels perfectly at home at MCH. We believe in supplying a quality product while also trying to make a difference with our resources. We don’t partner with nonprofits for bragging rights. We partner with them because at our core we believe in helping our neighbors when they aren’t able to help themselves.

Shea Shoemaker (CTO/Co-owner)
Shea is a cluckin' marketing + web design loving, rosé drinking, crazy dog lady who’s part soap snob and part marketing guru. Living in Nashville with her four fur children Knox, Neyland, Essee and Thompson and her high school sweetheart and dream of a hubs, Joseph. Shea keeps our website looking pretty and in order and helps drive our social media marketing and advertising campaigns.

Kelly Silva (CFO/Co-owner)
First and foremost, Kelly is a mom and a wife. She could not be prouder of her
four children and grandson, and is head-over-heels in love with her wife Steffi
(MCH CLO/Co-owner) whom she had a crush on for ELEVEN years before they
started dating!
Raised in the South, Kelly did what was expected of a good Southern girl –
married a man, had lots of babies, and was a stay-at-home mom. In the mid-
2000’s, Kelly decided to embrace her true self and “come out of the closet” –
this was one of the hardest things she ever did, but she could no longer deny
who she really was. As a newly single mom, Kelly went to Tennessee State
University, where she received many accolades and graduated head of her
class with a BA in Business Information Systems.
Kelly married the love of her life, Steffi, in 2018. They are both in the healthcare
IT industry and LOVE to nerd out together and talk about IT-related stuff that
bores everyone else to cluckin’ tears. Kelly also loves gardening, cooking, and
traveling with her beautiful wife.
Having worked in the IT industry for 15 years, Kelly is a seasoned and certified
project manager, business information analyst, strategist, and a self-proclaimed
“numbers nerd”. Some of her strongest passions are data analysis and making
things work – and work well. As CFO, Kelly brings to the table a passion for
digging into the numbers, analyzing the data, verifying all calculations are
correct, and turning the financial data into visual representations for easy Cluckin' consumption.
Steffi Silva (CLO/Co-owner)
Steffi was born and raised in the Bay Area in California (Livermore, CA). She
received a full-ride athletic scholarship to play softball at Middle Tennessee
State University in 1998 and made the trek to Murfreesboro, Tennessee! She
graduated with a BBA (Bachelors of Business Administration with an emphasis
in Computer Information Systems) in May 2003.
For the past 20 years, Steffi has spent her career in the healthcare industry
helping connect providers to payers through electronic data interchange (EDI)
and providing user-friendly interactive tools to help with seamless workflows for
those users. Steffi’s true passion is helping others and making them smile.
That’s the reason why she wanted to join in on MCH’s mission and values. She
wants to make a cluckin’ difference in the world!
Steffi has lived in Nashville since 2010 and got married to her amazing wife
(and MCH’s CFO/Co-Owner) Kelly Silva in 2018. They have four grown children
and an awesome grandson and love spending life’s precious quality time with
family and friends when not putting in the cluckin’ work at MCH.
