Warning: Contains tallow. This is the only My Cluck Hut product that uses animal by-product. We created this for our fam with Psoriasis, eczema, and extremely sensitive skin.  It showed such overwhelmingly positive results, and although we are not fans of animal by-product, we are HUGE fans of our customers not suffering from skin conditions if we can help. Odd chemical smell

I wanted to love this product but it fell short. It has a strong chemical smell likely from the sodium hydroxide.

Hmm, thank you for the feedback! I honestly have no idea what you might be smelling — the sodium hydroxide fully converts during saponification and ceases to exist in the finished bar. I actually grabbed one from the same batch as yours and used it myself to investigate!
My best guess? What you're picking up is likely the burnt sugar notes that happen when honey goes through saponification. The process generates over 200° of heat, which caramelizes and slightly burns the natural sugars in the honey. Most people don't notice it at all, but every now and then someone's beak picks right up on it — and it looks like you won the lottery! 😄
If you can push through that scent knowing what it actually is, this soap really is something special for sensitive skin. Thanks so much for taking the time to share this, fam!

CLEARING UP MY FACE

This has been such a great product to help clear up a lot of the extreme acne I have. I'm in high school and my dad got me this soap to try. I was reluctant, but I'm so glad I finally tried it. I use it at least once a day now. Thank you for helping to not hide my face as much.
